The Northeast Chapter of the Alabama Police Benevolent Association and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking for financial assistance for Emmett Robert “Robbie” Rainwater III of the Arab Police Department. Officer Rainwater recently had a major medical emergency with his heart. He was found to have 100% blockage in one artery, 90% in another, and 80% in the third artery. He has pneumonia and is on max oxygen. His wife Miranda is unable to work while caring for him in the hospital, which has caused significant financial strain.

Rainwater is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a distinguished career spanning over two decades with the Arab Police Department. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to protecting the community, upholding the law, and fostering trust between law enforcement and the public. Corporal Rainwater has held a variety of roles, including Patrol Officer, Traffic Homicide Investigator, Field Training Officer, and Patrol Corporal. In addition to the various positions he has held, Cpl. Rainwater has served as an Instructor in numerous advanced training courses and as a SWAT team member. He also has served as a paramedic and SWAT medic.

He received the VFW Officer of the Year Award in 2006 after delivering a baby and providing life-saving measures to both the newborn and the mother. In 2015, Cpl. Rainwater received the Law Enforcement Medal of Valor from the Arab Police Department for his direct involvement in saving the life of a fellow officer who had been shot in the line of duty.

Rainwater and his wife have four children (Allison Hudson, Reid Rainwater, Haley Jones, and Tanner Jones).

100% of the funds received will go to Officer Rainwater and his family.
