The Behind the Badge seminar is held in various host locations throughout the southeast.

Class discussion is about the life behind the badge of a law enforcement officer; the horrors, the scares, the images, the threats, and the filthy things that officers see every day. This life has a great reward, we see the good accomplished. But this life also has a cost, a cost rarely discussed. This seminar will discuss the realities of PTSD that 87% of officers endure. This seminar discusses the extremely high rates of police suicide, and what to do when we see an officer sliding down this slope. Finally, this class discusses ways for a better life and how to manage the high stress of the job. Family survivors of police suicide and officers with PTSD also discuss their stories which gives the attendees a different insight into how real the possibility of police suicide actually is. This is the back story to policing that is rarely discussed.
