The James K. Polk Chapter of the Tennessee Police Benevolent Association and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking you for your financial support for Deputy Josh Slaughter with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office. On the afternoon of July 5, 2024, a residential fire was reported on Four Mile Board Road in Waynesboro. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the home was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters from three stations fought the rapidly spreading fire until approximately 6:00 p.m., but the house and a vehicle parked there were declared a total loss. The homeowners, Josh and Karissa Slaughter lost their home, vehicle, and all their clothing and personal possessions.

Deputy Slaughter began his law enforcement career in 2018 at the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office, TN. He began working for the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, TN in 2021.

100% of the money received by the PBF will go to help Deputy Slaughter and his family as they continue to work through this trying time in their lives.
