The Knox County Chapter of the Tennessee Police Benevolent Association and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking for your assistance in financial support for the family of Deputy Tucker Blakely of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, October 1st, Deputy Blakely responded to a domestic disturbance where an armed suspect shot Deputy Blakely.He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center but unfortunately died as a result of those injuries on Monday, October 2, 2023.Deputy Tucker Blakely’s last act of service to others was donating his organs to serve people in need.

Deputy Blakely was a 2012 graduate of Powell High School where he also marched in the band.He was a United States Army veteran before starting his career in law enforcement.He was recently chosen as a K-9 handler, which was his dream; his K-9 partner was placed with him only two days prior to him being shot.

Deputy Blakely leaves behind his wife of 7 years, Katarina, and a 5-year-old son Hendrik.
