The Southeast Chapter of the Virginia PBA and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking for financial support for the family of Officer Robert Santos who unexpectedly passed away. Officer Santos worked for the city of Portsmouth and was an eleven-year veteran of that agency.
Santos started his career of service with the United States Air Force where he served for six years.He later served as a corrections officer for ten years in California and South Carolina before starting his career in law enforcement.
Known for his bright smile and an infectious laugh, Santos brought joy to any occasion.
He is survived by his wife Vida, who he was married to for thirty-six years. He also leaves behind two daughters and a son who has cerebral palsy and Crohn’s disease along with three grandchildren.
100% of the money received by the PBF will go to help Officer Santo’s family during this difficult time.
