The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking for financial support for Officer Clint Tew, who works for the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office as a School Resource Officer.
On July 4, 2022, Officer Tew suffered a severe ankle injury in an off-duty accident resulting in ankle displacement with an ankle to lower tibia break. One surgery has been completed and successful with the external fixation. Additional surgery two will be conducted tomorrow to put in a plate and pin the bone and ankle.
His doctors have told him that his recovery process will be lengthy, with multiple therapy appointments before he can return to duty.
Officer Tew has been married for 17 years to his wife Lyndsey, and they have four children. Simeon Cruz Tew, who will turn 14 this October, daughter Bellamy June Tew just turned 8 in February, and twin boys Silas Leon Tew & Levi Clinton Tew, who turned 7 this July.
100% of the money received by the PBF will go to help with Officer Tew’s medical expenses and salary replacement if his leave time is exhausted during his recovery.
