The Virginia Police Benevolent Association and the Police Benevolent Foundation are asking for financial support for the wife and family of one of our members. Eric Sjoberg is an officer with the Portsmouth Police Department. He has worked for that agency since October 2004 and is currently in the Traffic Unit.

His wife, Cassandra “Missy” Lea Sjoberg, was hospitalized several years ago and has been battling numerous health issues since that time.

Recently his wife was transported to Riverside Hospital in Newport News as an unresponsive patient with no pulse.

As of today, Missy is intubated and her medical team is working of her various issues to include severe COPD, Pneumonia, Intestinal Prolapse and a severe UTI. The medical team also is working diligently to get control of her blood pressure, oxygen levels and pulse.

Eric and Missy have custody of three of their grandchildren: Elly 15, Jasper 9, and Reagan 8. They have had them since Reagan was 4 months old.

100% of money received by the PBF will go to help with Missy’s medical expenses and her family needs.
